Apart from offering all of the great features found in Squeeze Desktop Standard, Pro offers support of the HEVC/x265 codec, the new standard in HD video. This may or may not apply to CS4 as well, I am not able to try that.Squeeze Desktop Pro is for the video professional. Once you get your head around all that, you can experiment more with the output settings and tweak the video. The key seems to be not to use Adobe Media Encoder to do any resizing from your original footage size, it does a bad job of this. Now you can export, and it will be a lot cleaner.
Choose settings: - Quicktime, H.264 or Sorenson, Quality 100, dimensions 428 x 240, FPS (25 or 30), Progressive, Square pixels, bit rate: 2048kbps, make sure deinterlace is off Import your uncompressed AVI, drag it onto the timelineġ8. Click OK, then Save to save your uncompressed AVI fileġ2. Keyframe/rendering: I left everything as default, set Deinterlace - on because I start with interlaced footageĩ.

Edit your project together in its native format (HDV, DV Pal, whatever)Ģ. Create a new project with custom settings at the UWOL size, import your uncompressed movie, then export to Quicktime using your preferred settingsġ. Export from your original project at the UWOL size (428x240), using File-Export-Movie, to get an uncompressed AVI OK, here's how I've finally improved my render for CS3:
